[tex-live] How to set the "main platform" in tlmgr

Almost 160 MB of rather useless data has been installed:

	du -sk /usr/local/texlive/2011/bin/*
	157204	/usr/local/texlive/2011/bin/universal-darwin
	 88788	/usr/local/texlive/2011/bin/x86_64-darwin

The binaries from /usr/local/texlive/2011/bin/x86_64-darwin are used, not those with the mix of PPC and i386. Tlmgr does not allow to "switch off" the "universal binaries for MacOSX/Darwin" ("Mac OS X/Darwin" should be the correct spelling) because it seems to be set as a "main platform". How can I switch that to x86_64-darwin?

tlmgr using installation: /usr/local/texlive/2011
Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)

Mit friedvollen Grüßen
